New LABSS Information Paper – Low Level Window Sills

LABSS Information Paper INFOP45 – Low Level Window Sills has now been published.

This topic was highlighted during the SBSH Roadshows earlier this year and responds to increasing enquiries from verifiers and designers regarding the assessment of low-level window sill arrangements in new domestic buildings. The paper provides practical guidance on the application of Mandatory Standard 4.4, including considerations around climbability, protective barrier design, escape windows and safe cleaning provisions, with the aim of supporting a more consistent and risk-based approach to verification across Scotland.
