CROSS-UK Newsletter: Bridges Special

CROSS-UK have published a Bridges Special Newsletter.

This edition brings together a selection of CROSS Safety Reports relating to bridges. While the Reports focus on bridges, many of the concerns raised are relevant to all those involved in the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of buildings and other infrastructure.

The Reports featured in this Newsletter demonstrate the strengths and challenges facing the sector. Although most structures perform safely throughout their service life, these Reports reinforce the importance of vigilance, openness and continuous learning. The Newsletter explores key themes including ageing infrastructure, hidden defects, quality assurance, defective materials, construction processes, competence, resourcing and maintenance.
